Tech Update #1
The Blue Horizon team has been busy getting the various elements of the platform up to speed in recent weeks, with several key aspects of the platform now taking shape nicely. Here’s an update on the exciting developments that have been taking place from our developers chained to their desks in the basement.
The Blue Horizon yield farming contract has been completed, while work has begun on the final phase of the minting contract, which we will hopefully complete by the end of September. Not to be outdone, the frontend and minting UI is also being completed, ensuring that the process will be as smooth and slick as possible. We’re also busy planning how to add various datasets to the NFTs so that when we launch the gamification aspect, which will be our focus once we’re happy with the core features of Blue Horizon. We don’t want to run before we can walk, even though we really want to!
All this new code, especially the minting side, has led to an increased need to undertake a coding audit. Such audits are essential to ensure that we have not overlooked any potential exploits and that everything is ready for safe use once we launch. There are a few companies that offer this service in the blockchain space, and we are currently comparing them to see which ones fit our requirements.
The work on the frontend has actually led us to undertake a complete overhaul of our website, bluehorizon.art. We’ve put our own ideas together with comments from the community and have decided to revamp the whole thing. We´re really happy with the results.
